Business Chinese
This track is aimed to build an overall Mandarin Chinese language competence among business professionals who are doing business in China. Based on two keystones: Chinese business conversation and Chinese business protocol and etiquette, this course will give the students a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese business culture. Our Business Mandarin Chinese courses are highly customized to satisfy your specific needs.
Level One

Business Chinese Level one is for students who have no previous exposure to the Chinese language and society. This level introduces the Mandarin Chinese Pinyin system, a phonetic system which incorporates an alphabet combined with five tones, in order to provide the students with a systematic picture of the language. Pinyin is considered a very handy and intuitional tool for the Western learners to master the language's pronunciation. The students, at this level, become familiar with the Chinese writing system and start to learn Hanzi (Chinese characters). Topics include: basic greetings and introduction; conversation about one's family, hobbies, etc.

Level Two

Business Chinese Level two is for learners who are able to hold simple daily Chinese conversations. However, students may find it difficult to catch words in longer sentences or faster conversations. Since the students' are getting familiar with the most basic Mandarin Chinese sentence structures, topics at this level become more specifically related to the business world, including applying for and accepting a job; employment and training; business communication and office environment, etc.

Level Three

Business Chinese Level three is for students who, upon completing the first two levels, are able to clearly conduct common conversations at a reasonable pace. These students are ready for a more complicated context. This level will build on business oriented topics learned from level two. Students will practice common conversations as well as begin reading simple articles. Most importantly they learn how to formerly write in business situations such as; introducing company types and organizational structure, price inquiry and negotiation; goods delivery, payments, etc.

Level Four

Students at Business Chinese Level Four have become comfortable with articulating simple ideas and engaging in conversations with native business counterparts. Level four will help the students become more effective communicators in the following topics: signing contracts, business disputes, marketing and advertisement, etc.

Level Five

By the time students start Business Chinese Level Five, they will have gained confidence in exchanging thoughts on a large variety of topics pertaining everyday business activities. This highest level of business Mandarin Chinese informs the students on current business policies and special economic phenomena in China. Examples of these topics include; special economic zones and development zones, intellectual property rights in China, the Chinese security market, sustainable development; etc.
