数万香港市民游行庆祝回归八周年
Tens of Thousands of Hong Kong Residents Parade in Celebration of the Eighth Anniversary of the Return of Hong Kong to the Motherland
记者: 这是香港亲北京的团体7月1号上午在香港大球场集合的时候举行仪式的场面,现在是大会的主席郑耀棠在发表讲话,问候到场的游行群众。据记者现场观察,可以容纳6万人的体育场,大概有三分之一的座位有人就座。中国外交部驻港特派员杨文昌、还有一些亲北京的议员和要员在主席台就座。
The reporter: This is what is happening as Hong Kong's pro-Beijing organizations gather for the ceremonies this morning, July 1, at Hong Kong Stadium. Presently, Zheng Yaotang, the chairman of the rally, is giving a speech to greet the parade crowd here at the scene. According to the reporter's observation at the scene, the stadium holds 60,000 people, and about one-third of the seats are taken. The correspondent of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hong Kong, Yang Wenchang, along with some pro-Beijing members of Parliament, and with some other important people, are seated at the chairman's podium.

The reporter: One honorable guest who is seated at the chairman's podium answered the reporter's questions.
海涛:能不能讲讲你今天是为什么要来这里?
Haitao: Would you like to talk about why you are here today?
嘉宾:今天是香港回归8周年嘛。这些今天来参加的社团都是经常在 一起活动的。
Honorable guest: Today is the eighth anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to China. These mass organizations that are participating in the parade today often have activities together.
海涛:您是......您是......?
Haitao: Are you...are you...?
嘉宾:我是福建社团的。
Honorable guest: I am from a Fujian organization.
海涛:您是平时做什么工作的?
Haitao: What do you normally do?
嘉宾:我做生意的。
Honorable guest: I am a businessman.
海涛:每年你都来吗?
Haitao: Do you come every year?
嘉宾:是。
Honorable guest: Yes.
海涛:只要有庆回归,你都来?
Haitao: Do you always come to these celebrations of the return of Hong Kong to China?
嘉宾:都来,都来。
Honorable guest: I always come, always come.
海涛:你带伞没有?下雨怎么办?
Haitao: Did you bring an umbrella with you? What if it rains?
嘉宾:下雨有帽子嘛。天有不测风云,下雨就下雨嘛。
Honorable guest: If it rains, I have my hat. A storm can arise from a clear sky. If it rains, it rains.
记者: 庆祝回归的游行队伍包括了狮子队、舞龙队、军乐队、等几十个演出的队伍。他们上午10点半从香港大球场出发,经过了铜锣湾商业闹市区,沿着轩尼诗道向西去。前头的队伍在一个多钟头之后,抵达了修顿球场。香港电视台报导,这次游行大约有3万人参加。
The reporter: The contingents in the parade for the celebration of the return of Hong Kong to China include several dozen performance teams, such as a lion dance team, a dragon dance team, and a military band. They started out at 10:30 from Hong Kong Stadium, went past the Causeway Bay downtown business areas, and then along Hennessy Road to the west. An hour later, the front troop arrived at the Xiudun ball field. Hong Kong TV reported that about 30,000 people participated in this parade.
